Winter Work Parties
These are important occassions where your help is required to have the site set up for the winter months. Projects included getting the boats sheds off the water, cleaning the race buoys, winter hedging and general maintenace. Starts about 10am - soup and beer provided - you can do all day or even just for a couple of hours, your time and effort appreciated.
Saturdays on the 16th Nov / 14th Dec / 4th Jan /8th Feb
Wayfarer World for sale
Previous owner Allan Winters. This boat sailed extensively around the Norfolk Broads for many years. Old, well used, and bit battered (the boat AND Allan), has his particular character stamp on the rigging and reefing systems. It is sailable and safe, what wood there is (seating, floor and rudder) is OK. But the 'padding' around the metal centre board is disintegrating. Make no mistake - this is a project boat which happens to be currently sailable.
Good mainsail with two reefing points and a furling jib (not tested). There is a spare main and jib (not checked).
The launching trolley comes with a winch (not tested). The road trailer tyres are inflated but definitely NOT road worthy
The cover is in excellent condition. The kit you see on the ground includes wooden slats to make a tent like structure under the cover
So how much? Well I am selling this on Allan's behalf and he would like it to go to someone at the club - £100! This price will double if it passed on to Ian Brett to sell on Ebay.

GALLEY NEWS
Whether you are new to the club or are an old timer, we have updated the galley procedures and forms to comply with Food Safety Agency guidelines. We have tried to comply with the guidance whilst not making it too onerous.
The details can be found on the website pages Galley Guide This guide also in the Galley Folder in the kitchen.
The main changes are:
1. Aprons to be worn when doing galley duty
2. When food is being prepared you may not enter the galley wearing outdoor clothing, including wetsuits!
3. The dishwasher must be used for EVERYTHING - All plates, bar glasses, utensils and cookware must be washed in the dishwasher. It may be necessary to do a hand prewash to remove stubborn dirt, but then there must be a final wash in the dishwasher to sterilise in order to kill bacteria. Mugs and bar glasses must not just be swilled out in cool water and left on the draining rack to dry. If the dishwasher is not on, then rinse and leave on the dishwasher tray to go through the dishwasher when it is next on.
4. The fridge allocation has changed to clearly separate cooked and uncooked food, they are clearly labelled. The members fridge is now the fridge under the hot water urn.
5. Allergens labels to be used for all prepared food to be stored in both fridges and freezer
Thanks, Rachel
